My project is to explore the natural variation of resistance against parasitic plant Orobanche. A natural Arabidopsis population is used and genome-wide association mapping (GWAS) is performed. My major approach of phenotyping is to take photos of the "rhizotron system" where Arabidopsis is infected with parasitic weeds. Photos are taken in time-series. Raw, high-resolution photos are stored, then treated and analyzed by softwares. Right now I've already had at least 400GB research photos.
At the same time, I have other projects where I usually use R for statistic analysis. So I'm also interested in version control and project management.
