My project entitled "Nutrient metabolism in eggs of different origins and its effect on incubation process and post hatch performance". Egg origins refer to differences in back ground, for example genetics of hens that produce eggs. We hypothesize that differences in origins could affect amout of nutrints available for embryo during incubation. If embryos have different nutrients to be used, we expect to see differences in nutrient metabolism measure by heat production. Embryonic development during incubation and post hatch performance will be determined to investigate consequences of different nutrient metabolism.
