1. Gert Jan Hofstede will present a number of database examples  consisting of tables with different types of data and keys to connect them. What types of data will your research produce?  Think of other things than your observations themselves, like registries of location, people, samples etc.

2. Gert Jan Hofstede will show how relational databases can be used to avoid data redundancy and improve consistency. We see that many researchers use spreadsheets (such as Excel) to collect and store data. If you plan to do so, how do you guarantee consistency between, and within the different spreadsheets?
